Peas and Beans

I started with some pea plants from seed.  They did okay and I was quite surprised when they all died at once.  Is that normal? One fruiting, then dead?

I also bought some Sugar Snap pea starts, visible above.

I also planted green beans, not really remembering that I don't love green beans and I surely would have rather had more Snap Peas.  The plants are vigourous growers and need no help to get big and healthy.
